Google Launches Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced Model for Paid Subscribers

The new AI model offers faster performance and excels at complex tasks like coding, math, and reasoning, but remains in an early preview phase.

The Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced model, codenamed Gemini-Exp-1206, is now available to Gemini Advanced subscribers through the Google One AI Premium plan, costing $20 per month.
This model demonstrates significant improvements over its predecessor, Gemini 1.5 Flash, with double the speed and better performance in coding, mathematics, reasoning, and instruction-based tasks.
Users can access the model via a new model picker feature on the desktop and mobile web versions of the Gemini app, though it is not yet available on the mobile app.
Google warns that the model is in an early preview state, meaning it may not work as expected in some cases and lacks access to real-time information and certain features.
Gemini 2.0 Experimental Advanced has already topped the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard, surpassing models like OpenAI's GPT-4o and others in benchmark tests for advanced AI capabilities.
