Overview
- Google announced the family version of CC on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 as an experimental Google Labs product that creates a single verified agent account for a household.
- Each CC can include up to six members and delivers a shared “Your Day Ahead” brief that pulls events and to‑dos from members’ shared email, Calendar and Drive content.
- With user permission, CC can take actions for the group such as adding calendar events, filling forms and creating Docs or Sheets, and it reads content sent to it by email, Chat or shared Drive folders.
- Google says each person chooses what CC can see and share, offering per‑member controls, an auto‑cc setting for frequent senders, and a weekly private list of new senders to approve.
- The agent builds on Google’s Daily Brief work, runs on Google’s Antigravity agent harness and Gemini models, and is rolling out on web and mobile for U.S. adults with existing users invited to upgrade and others able to join a waitlist.
