Google Keep Adds “Find in Note” Search on Android

A server-side rollout enables in-note search, with highlighted matches and arrow controls to jump between results.

Overview

  • Google has begun enabling a new “Find in note” option for Google Keep on Android that searches text inside a single note and highlights matches.
  • The feature is accessed from a note’s three-dot overflow menu and places a search field at the top of the note for entering terms.
  • Matches are marked in yellow and users can move through results using up and down arrow controls, with the keyboard able to be minimized for more viewable space.
  • The change is being switched on server-side for version 5.26.331.02.90 of the Android app, so users running the latest app do not need to install an update and availability may be staggered.
  • This usability fix follows earlier 2026 Keep changes and sits alongside separate, developing projects such as the previewed Keep Live voice-creation feature and a rumored UI redesign that were not part of this rollout.
