Google's Gemini AI now powers an 'Add to Calendar' button in Gmail, allowing users to create calendar events directly from email content.
The feature identifies emails with event-related details and adds a button to streamline the event creation process with a single click.
Currently available only in English and on the web, the feature is rolling out to Google Workspace Business, Enterprise, Education, and Google One AI Premium subscribers.
Users can edit event details after creation, but the feature does not automatically invite attendees or handle pre-extracted events like flight or restaurant reservations.
The rollout began on March 10, 2025, and is expected to complete by mid-April, with no availability yet for personal Gmail accounts or mobile platforms.
