Overview

  • The centre unites privacy engineering, cybersecurity and responsible AI development under one roof to advance Google’s global Safety Charter.
  • It will harness AI, including Gemini Nano, to deliver real-time scam alerts on Android and bolster fraud detection across Google Play Protect, Pay, Search and Gmail.
  • The hub will integrate adversarial testing, AI-assisted red teaming and tools like SynthID to defend against AI-driven deception.
  • GSEC India is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs and foster partnerships with academic institutions to address India’s cybersecurity challenges.
