• Google is releasing the upgraded automation editor in phases to Android and iOS, with full availability expected in the coming weeks.
• The update adds conditions based on presence states such as someone being home or everyone away, plus schedules limited to specific days and times.
• Users can now create one-time automations and choose to have them remove themselves after they run.
• Some capabilities are still missing in the new editor, including thermostat controls, camera on/off, light effects, light colors, and certain starters and actions from Personal Routines.
• Users can revert to the previous household or personal editors from the menu, motion sensors are supported today, and Google plans support for door, window, and contact sensors as well as camera motion detection while it gradually upgrades existing automations.
