Overview

  • Google has begun rolling out Scheduled Actions to Android and iOS users subscribed to AI Pro, AI Ultra or eligible Workspace business and education plans.
  • After defining tasks in natural language, Gemini will execute one-time or recurring prompts—such as daily calendar digests or weekly content idea lists—at specified times.
  • A new Scheduled Actions page in the Gemini app lets subscribers view, pause or delete their planned tasks.
  • Deep integration with Gmail, Calendar and Docs enables proactive notifications and content generation tied directly into users’ workflows.
  • The update brings Gemini closer to feature parity with ChatGPT's scheduling tool and follows I/O announcements that also include a swipe gesture for Live mode and an upcoming Gemini 2.5 Pro preview.
