Overview

  • AI Mode is now available in English across more than 180 additional countries and territories beyond the U.S., UK and India.
  • The first agentic task—finding restaurant reservations with real-time availability—runs in a U.S. Labs experiment for Google AI Ultra subscribers and links users to booking pages to complete the reservation.
  • Google says the capability is powered by Project Mariner’s live browsing, Knowledge Graph, Google Maps, and integrations with services such as OpenTable, Resy and Tock, with ticketing partners like Ticketmaster and StubHub also involved.
  • U.S. users in the Labs test can opt into personalized dining recommendations that draw on prior chats and Search/Maps activity, with controls available in Google Account settings.
  • AI Mode now supports link sharing in the U.S. so others can continue a conversation from a shared response, and Google plans to extend agentic support next to local service appointments and event tickets.
