  • TalkBack, Android's screen reader, now integrates with Gemini AI, enabling users to ask detailed questions about images and on-screen content.
  • Expressive Captions on Android now captures vocal nuances, such as drawn-out words, and introduces new sound labels like whistling or throat-clearing.
  • Chrome for Android introduces Page Zoom, allowing users to enlarge text without altering webpage layouts, customizable for individual pages or all sites.
  • Chrome on desktop now supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for scanned PDFs, making text searchable, copyable, and accessible via screen readers.
  • These features are rolling out in English for devices running Android 15 and above in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, coinciding with Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
