Overview

• Creators can now share custom Gemini assistants from the web Gem manager via a new Share button on the Explore Gems page.
• Recipients open a chat with a notice that the Gem is shared, then find it in a Shared with me section with options to make a copy or edit when allowed.
• A Gemini Gems folder appears in Google Drive after sharing, and items are protected by Drive permissions with changes reflected in both Drive and Gemini.
• The feature is live for personal and Workspace accounts today on the web, while mobile sharing is not yet available.
• Google highlights uses such as education, family trip planning, meal planning, collaborative writing, and maintaining consistent assistants across teams.
