Google Cloud and Hugging Face Partner to Boost Open AI Development

Collaboration provides developers with access to Google's AI infrastructure, including Vertex AI and Google Kubernetes Engine.

Google Cloud and Hugging Face have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the development of open generative AI applications.
Hugging Face users will be able to train, serve, and fine-tune their models using Google Cloud's resources, including the Vertex AI platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.
The partnership will provide developers with access to Google's tensor processing units (TPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs), including the coveted Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPUs.
The new capabilities, including Vertex AI and GKE deployment options, are expected to be available to Hugging Face Hub users in the first half of 2024.
Hugging Face, often referred to as the GitHub for AI, hosts over 500,000 AI models and 250,000 datasets, and is used by more than 50,000 organizations for their AI efforts.
