Overview

  • Users can access the feature by clicking the site information icon to the left of the address bar, which triggers an AI-generated pop-up summarizing key metrics like product quality, pricing, customer service and returns.
  • The AI-powered summaries aggregate review data from partners including Bazaarvoice, Bizrate Insights, Reputation.com, Reseller Ratings, ScamAdviser, Trustpilot, TurnTo, Yotpo and Verified Reviews.
  • The feature is currently available in English on Chrome’s U.S. desktop version, and Google has not disclosed plans for mobile support or additional languages.
  • Google says these store reviews aim to provide a safer, more efficient shopping experience and to compete with Amazon’s AI-driven retail tools.
  • The launch extends Google’s broader AI shopping strategy following last week’s introduction of virtual Try On and advanced price alerts in Search.
