• Stripe co-founder John Collison tweeted on July 5 asking for a Ctrl-click shortcut to duplicate events in Google Calendar and tagged Sundar Pichai
• On August 13 Pichai confirmed on X that the feature is live for all users of Google Calendar’s web app
• The new shortcut lets users hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) and drag events in Day, Week and Month views to create copies without opening menus
• Users in Schedule and Year views cannot use the drag-to-duplicate function and the change is not yet available in mobile or other interfaces
