Overview

• Users can share Gems from the Gemini web app via a Share button in the Gem manager, using the same dialog as Google Docs for email invites or link sharing.
• Access and editing rights are enforced by Google Drive, with shared Gems appearing as files in a new Gemini Gems folder in Drive.
• Recipients see a notice that the Gem is shared, find it under Shared with me in their Gem manager, and can make a copy or modify instructions when allowed.
• The feature is available on the web for personal Google accounts and Workspace customers, with no mobile sharing option at this time.
• Google highlights collaboration use cases such as family trip guides, meal planners, and team writing to reduce duplicated setup work.
