Overview

• Personal Context can now recall key details from past conversations to tailor responses over time, and users can disable it or delete history at any time.
• Temporary Chats creates an opt-in incognito-style session that does not appear in chat history, is not used for personalization or model training, and is retained for up to 72 hours.
• The “Gemini Apps Activity” setting is being renamed “Keep Activity” and when enabled a sample of future uploads may be used to improve Google services.
• These features are launching first with Gemini 2.5 Pro in select countries, excluding the EU, UK and Switzerland, with expansion to Gemini 2.5 Flash and additional regions planned in the coming weeks.
• Some users are also seeing a more rounded Gemini overlay with a bouncy animation as part of the update’s UI refinements.
