Overview
- Android 16 QPR1 adds an Audio Sharing setting on Pixel, enabling one phone to stream to multiple headphones using Auracast.
- Eligibility is limited to Pixel 8 series and newer devices, with Pixel 8a and Pixel 9a not supported.
- The feature will not enable unless both the phone and the headphones support LE Audio with Auracast.
- Group listening can be started from the Bluetooth Quick Tile or via Google Fast Pair, with private broadcasts joinable by scanning a QR code.
- Google says Auracast support is coming to Sony headphones without specifying models, and Pixel Buds 2 support remains unconfirmed after beta issues.
