‘Good Burger’ Actor Jan Schwieterman Dies at 52 After Cancer Battle

The actor, best known for his role as Kurt Bozwell in the 1997 Nickelodeon film, passed away on February 28 following a brief fight with stage 4 cancer.

Jan Schwieterman, who gained fame for his role in 'Good Burger,' died on February 28, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, at the age of 52.
His death followed a recent diagnosis of aggressive stage 4 cancer, as confirmed by his brother Chad Schwieterman in a Facebook post on March 1.
Schwieterman was born in Bluffton, Indiana, and was a proud Eagle Scout before pursuing acting in California, where he appeared in TV shows like 'ER' and 'Felicity.'
Beyond acting, he had a passion for travel, photography, painting, martial arts, and playing Dungeons and Dragons, most recently visiting Thailand.
His family has requested donations in his memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, emphasizing the importance of cancer research and treatment.
