Goo Goo Dolls to Headline 39th Carousel Ball for Type 1 Diabetes Research

Organizers are directing proceeds to bolster the Barbara Davis Center’s type 1 diabetes research, patient outreach, awareness initiatives.

  • The Children’s Diabetes Foundation confirmed the Goo Goo Dolls will perform on Oct. 11 at Denver’s Hyatt Regency as part of the 39th annual Carousel Ball.
  • Singer-songwriter Neil Diamond will receive this year’s Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his longstanding support of diabetes causes.
  • The MacMillan family will be honored with the High Hopes Tribute Award for their philanthropic contributions to Type 1 diabetes care.
  • Major sponsors including Dexcom, RBC Wealth Management, and 7Cellars Wines by John Elway have pledged support for the event.
  • Since its founding in 1978 the Carousel Ball has raised over $117 million by alternating between Denver and Beverly Hills to fund the Barbara Davis Center’s patient services and research.
