The injury marks Karlsson's second stint on the sidelines this season, after missing the first eight games due to a hamstring issue sustained during the 2023 playoffs.
Despite reduced offensive production, Karlsson remains a critical defensive asset, leading the team in faceoff win percentage (58.9%) and boasting strong advanced defensive metrics.
The Golden Knights, leading the Pacific Division but in a 1-5-1 slump, have recalled centers Tanner Laczynski and Brendan Brisson to fill the gap left by Karlsson.
