Golden Globe-Winning Actor Samuel Theis Accused of Rape on Film Set

Theis Continues to Direct 'Je Te Jure' Remotely Amid Allegations and Internal Investigation

French actor-director Samuel Theis, known for his role in the Golden Globe-winning film 'Anatomy of a Fall', has been accused of rape by a crew member on his latest directorial project, 'Je Te Jure'.
The alleged assault took place in July 2023, following a party held at an apartment with the cast and crew of the film. The crew member claimed that he was too inebriated to consent.
Theis has insisted that the encounter was consensual. His lawyer stated that there is no ongoing police investigation and that an internal investigation ordered by the production found no evidence of sexual assault.
Following the accusation, Theis was removed from the physical set of 'Je Te Jure' but continued to direct the film remotely.
The crew member quit the production immediately after the alleged assault and has since filed an official police complaint, according to French outlet Télérama.
