Golden Gate Park Gears Up for Seven-Concert August Series

Transit agencies will offer free rides to ticket holders with park closures and noise monitoring set to manage crowds for a sold-out Dead & Company kickoff.

  • Dead & Company’s three-night Grateful Dead 60th anniversary run from Aug. 1–3 sold out its 165,000-ticket allotment.

  • Road closures and operational protocols will keep the Polo Field and adjacent drives shut through Aug. 20 with real-time sound monitoring and a noise hotline for residents.
  • The lineup continues with Outside Lands festival Aug. 8–10 featuring Tyler, The Creator, Doja Cat and Hozier, and concludes with Zach Bryan and Kings of Leon on Aug. 15.
  • Rec and Park officials project the seven-concert run will inject over $50 million into San Francisco’s tourism, hospitality and local businesses.
