Recently retired ER doctor Guy Gansert will make his acting debut as a wildlife journalist in the March 12 episode of General Hospital.

Guy Gansert, a former ER doctor and runner-up on The Golden Bachelorette, will appear on General Hospital as Geoffrey Beckett, a wildlife journalist.
The guest role was offered after Gansert jokingly expressed interest in acting during the Golden Bachelorette finale in November 2024.
Gansert described his experience on the General Hospital set as 'surreal,' praising the welcoming and supportive environment created by the cast and crew.
The March 12 episode will feature Gansert's character discussing his passion for exploring untouched natural landscapes, including a notable trek through Tierra del Fuego.
Gansert, who retired from medicine after 35 years, hopes his positive experience on the show could lead to future acting opportunities.
