Overview
- International spot gold traded near $3,744–$3,760 an ounce after setting a record $3,790.82, with U.S. futures also edging lower.
- On MCX, gold slipped about 0.31% to around Rs 1,13,478 per 10 grams and silver fell 0.22% to roughly Rs 1,34,763 per kg in early trade.
- Indian city quotes stayed near recent highs around Rs 1.12–1.15 lakh per 10 grams, while the All India Sarafa Association reported Delhi gold down Rs 900 to Rs 1,18,000 and silver at Rs 1,39,000 per kg.
- Pakistan’s APSGJA kept 24-karat gold unchanged at a record Rs 398,800 per tola, with silver steady at Rs 4,637 per tola.
- Analysts linked the pullback to overbought conditions and a stronger dollar, noting support from expected Fed easing, ETF and central-bank buying, and strong industrial demand for silver; MOFSL projects silver could reach about Rs 1.5 lakh per kg within 12 months.
