Gold cargo worth $15 million stolen from Toronto Pearson International Airport holding facility

CA$20 million in gold and other valuable items were reported stolen from a cargo holding facility at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada.
The cargo was removed illegally from the holding facility after being unloaded from an aircraft.
The origin and destination of the aircraft carrying the cargo is unknown and no arrests have been made.
The theft is being investigated by Peel Regional Police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Airport officials say the theft did not threaten passengers or staff and normal operations have continued.
