Overview

  • Gol Play ended its TDT transmission on June 17 after nine seasons as Spain’s top free sports channel
  • The channel remains available via its Gol Stadium platform and subscription services including Movistar Plus+, Orange TV, Vodafone TV, Euskaltel and Telecable
  • Unidad Editorial’s Veo7 will start TDT broadcasts on June 18 with films such as 'Vidas criminales', 'Pixie', 'Weird: la historia de Al Yankovic' and 'Crímenes del futuro'
  • In its early schedule, Veo7 will air series classics like 'Los vigilantes de la playa' and 'Flashpoint' as it returns after a 13-year hiatus
  • These moves coincide with Spain’s TDT upgrade to 4K and the DVB-T2 standard and precede VinTV’s July 1 launch featuring nostalgic series from the 1970s through 1990s
