Goiás Court Bars WePink From New Live Sales Until It Proves Stock

The injunction cites more than 120,000 consumer complaints over delays, non-delivery, refund hurdles and flash-sale pressure.

Overview

  • Violations of the order carry a R$100,000 fine per live broadcast, with the ban covering commercial livestreams and virtual sales campaigns until stock is documented.
  • WePink must establish a human-staffed customer service channel within 30 days, accessible by phone and other means, with an initial response required within 24 hours.
  • The ruling requires real-time tracking for deliveries and refunds, protocol numbers for complaints, clear public instructions for cancellations, exchanges and reimbursements, and refunds within 15 days for regret-based returns.
  • The company must disclose a complete record of consumer complaints since launch and faces an additional R$1,000 fine per case if it fails to publish required consumer-rights information online.
  • The action by the Goiás prosecutor’s office also seeks R$5 million in damages, names partners Virgínia Fonseca, Thiago Stabile and Chaopeng Tan, and notes a conciliation hearing set for December 9, 2025.
