Gogoro Enters Indian Market with Battery-Swapping Network and New Smartscooters

The Taiwanese company plans to manufacture its electric two-wheelers in India and export them to other markets, starting with Nepal.

Gogoro, the Taiwanese electric scooter maker, has officially entered the Indian market with a battery-swapping network and three new smartscooters.
The company plans to manufacture its smartscooters in India and export them to other markets, starting with Nepal.
Gogoro's battery-swapping network will initially target business-to-business customers in Delhi and Goa, with plans to expand to Mumbai and Pune in the first half of 2024.
The company's India-manufactured smartscooter, the CrossOver GX250, is immediately available in the country, with two more models, the CrossOver 50 and CrossOver S, to be shipped later in 2024.
Gogoro will also offer its mobility-as-a-service platform GoShare in partnership with Indian startup FutureEV, which will provide Gogoro battery swapping and smartscooters in Goa, a tourist hotspot.
