Overview

• Channel 4 confirmed five new families and friend groups will join the show as the new series begins on Friday, September 5 at 9pm.
• The arrivals include friends Jake, 27, and Calum, 31, from Glasgow; the Gordon family—Andre, 49, Sarah, 47, and daughter Chee, 25—from Surrey; and married couple Andrew, 62, and Alfie, 32, from the Cotswolds.
• Mother and daughter-in-law Sara, 87, and Lara, 58, from Yorkshire join alongside sisters Rosie, 68, and Susie, 70, from Edinburgh, with Sara reported as the show’s oldest contributor.
• Studio Lambert creative director Mike Cotton welcomed the newcomers, saying it is a delight to add fresh households alongside the much-loved returning cast.
• The refresh follows confirmation that Scottish pair Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle were not invited back after three and a half years on the programme.
