GM to Lay Off 1,300 Workers as Bolt EV and Camaro Production Ends

- General Motors (GM) is laying off 1,300 workers at two Michigan factories due to the ending of production for the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Camaro.
- The Orion Assembly plant, which is ending production of the Chevrolet Bolt EV, will lay off 945 workers, while the Lansing Grand River plant will lay off 350 workers due to the end of Chevrolet Camaro production.
