- General Motors began local assembly of the new-generation Chevrolet Tracker at its General Alvear complex in Santa Fe on July 15.
- Most of the SUVs will be exported to regional markets, with domestic deliveries scheduled to begin in late July when trim levels and pricing are unveiled.
- The plant’s press, body and assembly areas were outfitted with specialized tooling to accommodate the Tracker’s fully renewed exterior design.
- Inside, the refreshed model offers a dual-screen virtual cockpit, more comfortable seats and modern ergonomic touches.
- The Tracker retains its 1.2 L turbocharged three-cylinder engine and is slated to receive a 48-volt mild-hybrid system next year.
