Overview

• GM unveiled the California Corvette Concept as the second in a global series of three electric Corvette design studies
• GM Advanced Design Pasadena led the styling with a front-hinged canopy that lifts the entire cabin in lieu of traditional doors and roof panels
• The carbon-tub body is built around an assumed T-shaped prismatic battery pack to lower the seating position and channel airflow through the chassis
• The concept incorporates active aerodynamic features including an adjustable rear spoiler and air brake for improved high-speed stability
• Chevrolet confirms there is no intention to move beyond this design study and the final concept in the series is due later in 2025
