GM, EVgo, and Pilot Open First Stations of Coast-to-Coast EV Charging Network

At least 25 stations with around 100 charging stalls expected to be operational by end of 2023, with plans for 2,000 stations in the coming years.

Overview

  • General Motors, EVgo, and Pilot Travel Centers have opened the first 17 of their planned coast-to-coast EV charging stations across 13 states.
  • By the end of 2023, at least 25 stations with around 100 charging stalls are expected to be operational.
  • Some of the charging stalls will have DC fast-charging capacities of 350kW, capable of delivering more than 200 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
  • The companies plan to install at least 2,000 charging stations over the next few years, with an additional 200 stations expected by the end of 2024.
  • Starting in Spring 2024, GM customers will get discounts on charging fees and be able to reserve charging stations ahead of time.
