Overview

  • The all-electric Corvette CX uses four wheel-mounted motors and a 90-kWh battery to generate a theoretical 2,000 horsepower and employs ground-effect suction fans alongside active aerodynamic surfaces.
  • The hybrid CX.R combines three electric motors with a 900-hp, twin-turbo two-liter V8 for a total of 2,000 hp and will be drivable in Gran Turismo 7 later this month.
  • Both concepts feature a forward-lifting canopy entry, moving steering column and pedals for a driver-centric cockpit and an augmented-reality head-up display to enhance circuit performance.
  • Chevrolet Executive Design Director Phil Zak said the Warren, Pasadena and Royal Leamington Spa studios worked in isolation to deliver three distinct Corvette proposals.
  • General Motors emphasizes these non-production studies are meant to inspire future Corvette styling and technology rather than preview a specific upcoming model.
