GM and LG to Compensate Chevy Bolt Owners with $150 Million Fund

Settlement addresses battery defects that led to vehicle fires and halted production of the Bolt EV.

Chevy Bolt owners can receive up to $1,400 if they installed the final software remedy.
Owners who sold or leased their vehicles before the remedy are eligible for $700.
The settlement follows a class-action lawsuit over defective batteries causing fires.
GM recalled all Bolts globally in 2021 and ceased production in 2023.
The automaker plans to introduce over 30 new EV models by 2025.
