Viggosdottir has earned 132 caps for Iceland and helped secure the team's qualification for the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
In the 2024 season, she captained Bayern Munich to an undefeated Bundesliga championship and a national Supercup victory.
Sveindis Jonsdottir, who finished second, won the DFB-Pokal with Wolfsburg, showcasing the Bundesliga's dominance in Icelandic football.
