- TV Globo confirmed a live, free-to-air broadcast of the 83rd Golden Globes on Jan. 11 from Los Angeles, airing immediately after Fantástico.
- Maria Beltrão will anchor with live commentary from Dira Paes and Waldemar Dalenogare, simultaneous translation by Anna Viana, and red-carpet reports by correspondents Nilson Klava and Felipe Coaglio.
- Brazil’s O Agente Secreto earned three Golden Globe nominations: best film – drama, best actor in a drama for Wagner Moura, and best motion picture in a non-English language.
