Global Leaders to Convene in Paris for AI Action Summit

The summit, co-chaired by India and France, will focus on ethical AI development, international cooperation, and major investment announcements.

The AI Action Summit in Paris on February 10-11 will gather leaders from nearly 100 countries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, who will co-chair the event.
France and the UAE have announced a $30-50 billion investment to build Europe’s largest AI data center, with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt, as part of a broader AI collaboration agreement.
France’s public investment bank, Bpifrance, will invest €10 billion in AI startups, infrastructure, and research by 2029 to strengthen the country’s position in the global AI ecosystem.
The summit will unveil a bilateral AI roadmap between India and France, focusing on governance, sustainability, and infrastructure, alongside other collaborations in civil nuclear energy and defense.
Discussions will address global AI governance, labor market impacts, environmental sustainability, and fostering innovation, with key industry leaders and scientists, including OpenAI and DeepMind executives, in attendance.
