Global Citizen Organizes All-Star Paris Concert to Call for Increased Climate Change Financing

Global Citizen is hosting a free concert in front of the Eiffel Tower on June 22 featuring Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz, H.E.R. and more to mobilize financing for developing countries to fight climate change.
The concert aims to encourage world leaders at the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact to provide $16.7 billion in overdue climate financing pledged in 2009 and reform the World Bank to unlock $1 trillion more.
The event is part of Global Citizen's campaign supporting Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley's call to relieve debt for lower-income countries to fund climate projects.
The three-hour concert will be livestreamed on Global Citizen's platforms and Amazon Music's Twitch channel.
Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans and French President Emmanuel Macron have both championed the need for global cooperation on climate change and poverty.
