• Glendale police identified the man as 28-year-old Adrian Green, who was pronounced dead outside a home.
• Officers had responded around 12:40 a.m. for a welfare check near 89th Avenue and Maryland Avenue in the Westgate area.
• Two officers were involved in the shooting and were uninjured, and no suspects are outstanding.
• Maryland Avenue is closed between 83rd and 91st avenues as detectives process the scene.
