• Amazon MGM Studios confirmed Glen Powell as its lead actor and Ron Howard as director for the untitled firefighting film on June 17.
• Christina Hodson is adapting her original pitch about two estranged childhood friends turned elite firefighters confronting lethal Texas blazes.
