- Glen avenged their controversial defeat by Kilmacud in last year's All-Ireland Club SFC final, edging out the champions 1-14 to 2-10 to reach another decider.
- The Derry side led 0-9 to 0-4 at half-time and increased that advantage to seven before Kilmacud fought back to level by the 55th minute after Hugh Kenny netted.
- Ethan Doherty punished Kilmacud keeper David Higgins' sortie away from his goals to fire into an empty net to put Glen four up deep in injury-time.
- Shane Walsh replied in kind with a long-range shot which deceived the Ulster champions' defence, but Glen held on to win.
- Glen will face Roscommon side St Brigid's at Croke Park on 21 January.
