Glasgow Film Festival 2025 to Open with World Premiere of 'Tornado'

The 21st edition of the festival will feature 92 premieres, an appearance by James McAvoy, and marks the final year for director Allison Gardner.

The Glasgow Film Festival will run from February 26 to March 9, showcasing films from 39 countries, including 12 world premieres.
The opening gala will feature the world premiere of 'Tornado,' a survival thriller by John Maclean starring Tim Roth, Jack Lowden, and Kōki.
James McAvoy will participate in a live 'In Conversation' event, reflecting on his career in film and television.
The festival will close with the world premiere of the documentary 'Make It to Munich,' chronicling a young athlete's recovery and journey to Euro 2024.
This year’s festival is the final edition overseen by Allison Gardner, who has served as CEO and director for over 30 years.
