GLAAD Media Awards Celebrate LGBTQ+ Advocacy and Representation

The 36th annual ceremony honored achievements across media, with Cynthia Erivo and Doechii receiving top accolades.

Cynthia Erivo was awarded the Stephen F. Kolzak Award for her advocacy and contributions to LGBTQ+ visibility.
Doechii won Outstanding Music Artist, joining past honorees like Lady Gaga and Lil Nas X, and emphasized resilience in her acceptance speech.
The event marked GLAAD's 40th anniversary and showcased its ongoing mission to promote LGBTQ+ acceptance and inclusivity.
Major winners included 'Will & Harper' for Outstanding Documentary and 'The Groomsmen: Second Chances' for Outstanding Film – Streaming or TV.
The ceremony, hosted by Michael Urie, will be available for streaming on Hulu starting April 12, 2025.
