Giuliani faces disbarment over attempts to overturn 2020 election results

An attorney disciplinary committee in Washington, D.C., has recommended Rudy Giuliani be disbarred for making false claims of election fraud without evidence in a Pennsylvania lawsuit on behalf of Donald Trump.
The committee found that Giuliani violated the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct and sought to undermine the democratic principles of free and fair elections.
Giuliani claimed the election was stolen from Trump but provided no proof to support the allegations according to the committee.
The recommendation will proceed to the D.C. Board of Professional Responsibility and the D.C. Court of Appeals for a final decision on Giuliani's law license.
Giuliani's law license is already suspended in New York due to his misleading statements about election fraud claims.
