Overview

  • Her departure will take effect at the end of August after nearly seven years at the Fund.
  • She joined the IMF as chief economist in January 2019 and was promoted to first deputy managing director in January 2022.
  • She led the development of the Integrated Policy Framework and co-authored the Fund’s global pandemic vaccination plan.
  • IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva praised her as an exceptional leader and confirmed a successor will be appointed in due course.
