Overview
- Rollout across all four age sections begins this month, with units nationwide integrating the 72 new badges into their programmes.
- More than 20,000 girls and volunteers co-created the badges after submitting over 4,000 design ideas and testing prototypes with 11,000 girls from 753 units.
- The badges span activities in wellness, STEM, environmental action, creativity and life skills, from earning a sleep badge to tackling codebreaking and conservation.
- Seven partner organisations—including the Royal Horticultural Society, Bletchley Park and the Wellbeing of Women charity—helped develop specialised activities.
- Angellica Bell has been named ambassador for the launch, aiming to use her platform to boost confidence and spotlight challenges such as online harm and sexism.
