Girl Scouts Add Rocky Road–Inspired 'Exploremores' to 2026 Cookie Lineup

Proceeds from sales stay with local councils and troops to fund programs that build girls’ business and leadership skills.

Overview

  • GSUSA unveiled Exploremores on Sept. 9, describing the sandwich cookie as filled with chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème.
  • The new flavor will be sold nationwide online and at local cookie booths during the 2026 season, with exact timing set by councils in the typical January–April window.
  • Production will come from the two licensed bakers, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers, which supply Girl Scout Cookies nationally.
  • Classic varieties including Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites and Tagalongs will return, following the previously announced retirement of S’mores and Toast‑Yay! after 2025.
  • GSUSA emphasized that cookie revenue remains local to support council and troop activities, positioning the program as a hands-on entrepreneurship and leadership experience for scouts.
