'Gilmore Girls' Star Yanic Truesdale Joins Creators for New Ballet Drama 'Étoile

Set in New York and Paris, the Amazon Prime series follows two ballet companies trying to save their institutions by swapping stars.

Yanic Truesdale, known for his role as Michel Gerard in 'Gilmore Girls', is set to reunite with the show's creators, Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, for their upcoming Amazon Prime ballet drama, 'Étoile'.
Truesdale will play the character Raphael, who is the right-hand man to Genevieve, the head of a Parisian ballet company, portrayed by Charlotte Gainsbourg.
The series, which has been picked up for two seasons, is set in both New York City and Paris, and follows the dancers and staff of two ballet companies who attempt to save their institutions by swapping their stars.
Other cast members include 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's' Luke Kirby, Gideon Glick, Simon Callow, Lou de Laâge, and David Alvarez.
A release date for 'Étoile' has not yet been announced.
