Rex Heuermann, already charged with three murders, is expected to be charged with the murder of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, completing the 'Gilgo Four'.

  • Rex Heuermann, the prime suspect in the Gilgo Beach killings, is expected to be charged with a fourth murder, that of Maureen Brainard-Barnes.
  • Heuermann, a 60-year-old former architect, has already been charged with the murders of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Lynn Costello, all found near Gilgo Beach.
  • Heuermann was linked to the murders through DNA evidence obtained from a discarded pizza slice and his wife's hair found at the crime scenes.
  • Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the three charges of first-degree murder and three charges of second-degree murder in the killings of Barthelemy, Waterman, and Costello.
