Gigantamax Kingler Debuts in Pokémon Go with Exclusive Max Battle Day

Players can challenge the formidable Water-type raid boss on February 1, 2025, with a chance to encounter its Shiny variant.

Gigantamax Kingler will be available as a 6-star Max Battle boss during a special event on February 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
The Water-type Pokémon is weak to Grass- and Electric-type moves, while resisting Fire-, Ice-, Steel-, and Water-type attacks.
Eligible counters include Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon such as Venusaur, Rillaboom, Toxtricity, and Zapdos, with a focus on moves that exploit Kingler's weaknesses.
Max Battles require in-person participation at Power Spots and cost 800 Max Particles per attempt, which are refunded if the raid fails.
Defeating Gigantamax Kingler gives players a chance to catch a regular Kingler with the Gigantamax ability, and possibly its rare Shiny form.
